Chapter 7 shows and tells lots of information about plagiarism and plagiarism is intellectual dishonesty. There are Manny different ways of explaining plagiarism but, the main thing is using someones work and calming it to be your won and not giving them credit for the work they have done. By people helping you with your topic that is not plagiarism, its only if you take the work from another person. The 6 things you should check for are, " check for works cited page, identify each quotation paraphrase and summary, check for appropriate attributions, check for appropriate text, make sure each source has a works cited page, and really look in to the text and see if there are ant changes in the paper". Always acknowledge the source of your information to prevent any plagiarism. common knowledge is information that is widely known around the world so you dont need to cite everything you write. Always ask if you can use the information of an author if you are using a big chunk of their information. Make sure you take notes to avoid plagiarizing really carefully just make sure its you information.
